In order to understand flexibility coaching, Sam took a deep dive into tissue and muscle structure, the anatomy of stretching, flexibility assessment and flexibility program design with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Through more than 6,000 hours of stretching, Sam has learned to understand the spectrum of flexibility as it pertains to different tissue types and systems. He incorporates this knowledge and his years as an athlete to provide integrated personalized stretching plans for clients that include assisted and self-stretching routines.
Sam specializes in techniques that reduce the bodies' compensation during the session to allow for a more targeted and effective stretch. With his deep understanding of anatomy and movement, he pinpoints where the body holds tension and helps restore balance and mobility.
Assisted Stretching Method
Once you relax, I use supportive straps to isolate and stretch specific muscle groups with precision, giving you a focused and effective session.
Many of the aches, pains and limitations we experience stem from imbalances and misalignments in the body. Whether caused by overuse from work or exercise, or the lasting affects of an injury, imbalances can impact how we move and feel.
